Real Housewives of Atlanta NeNe vs Sheree

Tonight Bravo TV premiered Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Before the episode was shown, the drama started last week on the Wendy Williams show on Fox. Sheree Whitfield, Kandi Burruss, and Phaedra Parks were guests on the show. Sheree told Wendy,

“NeNe has really changed. The fame has totally changed her. It’s gone to her head, and she just feels like she’s bigger than, you know, everybody.”

What is the issue? It sounds as if Sheree is intimidated and jealous of NeNe Leakes’ recent success after her appearance on The Apprentice, produced by mogul Donald Trump on NBC. The question should be why Sheree isn’t as successful. Why isn’t her lifestyle driving the ratings of RHOA? Why wasn’t Sheree on The Apprentice?

Speaking of The Apprentice, although NeNe was not the winner, she was awesome on the show. NeNe played the game right and did what she had to do to win money for her domestic violence awareness charity, Twisted Hearts. Could Sheree have done this? Back down memory lane to Season 1 of RHOA, Sheree had “a fashion show with no fashion,” says Dwight Eubanks.

Each of the ‘housewives’ has their character.  “I’m Hood, but I can make anyone sing,” is Kandi. The “Dumb Blonde & Gold-digger” is Kim Zolciak. Mrs. “Naïve Peacemaker” is Cynthia Bailey. “Everybody knows I’m a Southern Mess” is Phaedra. “I’m not Ghetto, I just like Drama” is NeNe, and she knows she contributes that character to RHOA. NeNe could have easily portrayed that on The Apprentice. On the contrary, despite her not taking the lead a lot, NeNe was smart enough to handle the tasks. The only occasion we got a glimpse of NeNe’s RHOA character was when she stepped to Star Jones. It was needed, and Star had it coming to her. No one else was brave enough to do it.

On tonight’s premiere episode, a part from Miss J’s appearance (Model Coach, America’s Next Top Model judge) with Cynthia, the best scene was shown the last 10 minutes of the hour. After 3 seasons, NeNe finally faced off with Sheree. NeNe won! Proof…. Sheree’s comeback, “You need to get your mutha f*ckin’ teeth fixed, how bout that!” Seriously, Sheree, that’s the best shot you could throw? “Rotten teeth, honey” has nothing to do with the issue.

Don’t worry NeNe. You are very rich. More money brings more problems, but… “Who gone check you, boo”?

“What do you call a fashion show with no clothes? ….Nothing!” - Dwight Eubanks

What did you think of Season 4 premier of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Was it a slow start? Will Phaedra have a successful career with her top hat funeral home? Are you going to buy Kandi’s luxury intimate products? Do you think the love between Kim and Kroy Biermann is real? Will it last? Let us know in the comments below.

I lost 8 lbs on the Vegetable Soup Diet

If you are looking for a quick, easy way to lose a lot of weight and gain it all back in a week, then you should go on the vegetable soup diet. It is formally known as the Sacred Heart diet, although neither the Sacred Heart Hospital or the American Heart Association take claim to it. It’s 7 day fad diet that supposedly results in 10-17 pounds lost in 1 week.

It is really a 14 day diet. It takes another 7 days to peel, clean & chop all the vegetables.

I only lost 8 lbs, but I’ll take all that I can get! The soup was delicious! You eat fruit, vegetables and steak (3 -4 of them, sounds crazy but true). The daily experience was like eating Chinese food. You get really full off one serving, but an hour later, you’re hungry again. That’s why the directions say eat as much soup as you like. The last day, I didn’t eat anything at all. I was so tired of eating soup, but I didn’t want to break the diet.

Day 1 You eat fruit & soup all day. I bought Cantaloupe, Honey Dew & Grapes.

One day you eat soup & veggies all day. Another day you get to eat a baked potato (with butter!!!) for dinner.

Also, I did not exercise along with the diet. So if you try it, you just might lose up to 17 pounds in 1 week. I do not recommend this diet to anyone as a permanent means to lose weight. However I do recommend it as a temporary jump start to a healthy lifestyle change or to break up a weight loss plateau. My reason for doing it – the purchase of a dress 1 size too small that I had to take on my trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I spent $64 at Wal-mart buying all the ingredients for the soup and diet.

If you are so bold or desperate to try the diet, click here ingredients for the soup and the directions on when and what to eat each day.

I could've spent less money if I had looked at the Piggly Wiggly's sales paper with the 10 fruit & veggies for $10 special!

Best of luck to you!

Have you tried the Sacred Heart Vegetable Soup diet before (or cabbage soup or Master Cleanse aka Lemonade diet)? What were you results? Did you gain the weight right back? Tell us about your experience below in the comment.

Real Housewives of Atlanta VIP Experience

Wow! What an adventurous day for me – all due to lack of sleep which causes for me to have temporary lapse in judgement. I had plans last Saturday to meet with my girl Galyn at 1 p.m. so we could go see Kandi, the famous singer from Xscape and star of Bravo TV’s Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Since my car was almost 700 miles over the oil change mark (shame on me, I know!), I decided to get that taken care of first. Time flew by fast from my mechanic having 3 cars ahead of mine and me making small talk in the shop with a nice guy. Before I knew it, the time was 2:00 p.m. As soon as my car was ready, I paid my mechanic and jetted down the highway.

I left the mechanic rushing towards the Brandsmart-USA on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. I get to Brandsmart, sit in the parking lot and wait forever for Galyn to arrive. After some time, close to 3 p.m., I decided to look on the actual invitation. That is when I find out that I am at the wrong location. What!?! Unbeknownst to me, the Brandsmart that Kandi was to appear was in Stockbridge, GA. There’s a Brandsmart in Stockbridge off of I-75 South? I never knew! So, I fly down I-85 to I-75 from the north side of town and made it there at 3:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Galyn was stuck in traffic from just 20 minutes south in Griffin due to a 4-car pile up. So, I get in the long line and whip out the VIP pass that I received in my Sweepstakes winner package. I presented my pass to the nice lady in a red dress, and I get to skip ahead to the front of the line. How awesome!

1st in Line Certificate

I finally get to meet Kandi and take a photo with her. She’s so fabulous ya’ll, and really down to earth. Gotta love her! Poor Galyn got there too late to get an autographed CD and photo taken with Kandi. After all the hype was over, Galyn and I did a little shopping with the $50 gift cards from Brandsmart-USA. All in all, I had quite a time making it to the event, but the warmth and love I received from Kandi (plus the items that I purchased with my gift card) made it all worth it.  :)

Sweepstakes Package: Poster of Kandi Burruss, BRAVO TV tee, Kandi's CD, BRAVO TV ink pen, BRAVO TV key chain, $50 Brandsmart-USA gift card, Skip the Line Certificate

Check out what we bought with our gift cards.

Galyn bought a $129 Sony Digital Camera that was on SALE for $60.

It's cute & red!
