Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, January 16, 2012. This year Atlanta will celebrate King Week 2012. All week long starting Thursday, January 12, 2012, Atlanta has MLK events throughout the metro area (Emory University, Morehouse College, The Children Museum of Atlanta) . The celebration kicks off with a sold out tribute concert at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. Other events and activities include The Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Commemorative Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church as well as the Hands on Atlanta Family Service Project.
